My second wedding of the weekend saw me documenting Alex & Samantha’s big day in and around Ormskirk. I was to capture the morning’s preparations of the Bridal party so I made my way nice and early to Samantha’s Parent’s home. The girls had been up for quite some time as I walked in with my morning coffee, they were in very high spirits. Samantha was getting her make-up done so I photographed a few natural shots before making my way upstairs for the smaller detailed shots. The wedding flowers were provided by ‘Flowers by Laurie’. I love the build up as I get to see so many emotions in such a short amount of time and with Alex surprising Samantha with a wedding gift which was personally dropped off by a Best man and usher, I got to see these all come at once! The morning had flown and before I knew it I was making my way to the church.
I arrived at the church and immediately noticed a familiar face…Barry of Diamond Lights Wedding Films was to capture the entire day through film and with having worked with Barry on so many occasions we both work together to ensure the day runs perfect for our couples. I saw Alex before proceedings began to make sure he was okay and get some documented shots of him and the lads whilst guests were arriving.
The wedding transport provided by Church Town Wedding Cars were beginning to arrive so after a few shots I was making my way to the front of the aisle for the arrival of the Bridal party. Alex looked slightly nervous/excited to see his beautiful Bride as he stood at the front and in no time at all she was following her Bridesmaids down the aisle. The service was lovely and once rings were exchanged and the signing of the register was complete it was time for the newly weds to head for the exit and onward to their final destination to begin the celebrations.
We arrived at Hurlston Hall for the Reception and to begin with we started with the formalities of the groups. Now I like to get these done as soon as possible as I know how time can fly and I like to keep timings on track especially when food is involved…we’re not too keen on Hangry guests!! 🙂
The weather was perfect as it started to turn sunny for the confetti photo and formal groups. As the wedding cars headed off we headed inside to capture shots of the wedding breakfast room in all its glory. Premiere Party Events had dressed the room along with a few items for props and it looked gorgeous! The wedding cake was amazing and created by Terry Tangs.
There was a period where I looked through my work before the speeches started. First up was Father of the Bride followed by Alex and then finally the Best men. All speeches offered so much from laughter to tears, they were superb! Once finished James Barlow who was to sing later on also announced all guest to make their way outside so the room could be turned around for the evening celebrations. This time allowed me to head outside to work my magic…this was of course helped by the fact that the sun was absolutely stunning and it was the Golden Hour! We spent a little time around the venue’s stunning grounds as Alex and Samantha looked like they were really enjoying themselves 🙂
The evening was upon us and there was only one thing left to do…the first dance. Alex and Samantha were officially announced into the room as it erupted with cheers and howls and once the cutting of the cake was done the happy couple were swaying away to their song of choice and glowing orange from the sunset which was shining into the room.
I had such a memorable day enjoying every minute and I hope the new Mr & Mrs Harrison along with their wonderful family and friends did too! I can’t wait to get all of their wedding photos to them soon but for now please enjoy these sneak peek shots 🙂
Thanks and enjoy…
