Things we get asked...
There are so many things to consider with regards to your wedding day especially choosing the right wedding suppliers. It’s important that each supplier provides a professional service and that their creative vision and personality match yours. Let me try and help in ticking that box of yours and provide answers to the most frequently asked questions we’ve had over the last 10 years.
How long have you been a Wedding Photographer?
I started my photography journey back in 2009 after serving as a Royal Marine for 5 years. I love what I do and I have a real passion in creating timeless and natural wedding photographs for those who wish for me to be part of their big day! Customer satisfaction is what keeps my little business alive!
Is this your Full-time occupation?
No…I went full-time back in 2013 when I decided to take the plunge due to an increase in clients wanting me to document their big day. Unfortunately with Covid-19 I was forced to seek additional work and managed to get in with the NHS during the pandemic, who later offered me a part-time role. My time is now divided between both but my business isn’t affected as I now take on less weddings throughout the year.
Do you photograph more than one wedding per day?
I haven’t and will never do more than one wedding a day.
I prefer to concentrate on one couple and on that one day, it’s just how I roll!
Can we meet before the wedding day?
I always like to meet initially to discuss all available options, run through the day and also get to know my clients a little better. If we don’t get to meet before a deposit has been made to secure a date then we will definitely organise a time to before the big day.
Throughout the whole process I am always on hand to answer any questions or offer any advice.
What is your style of Photography?
It didn’t take me long to know that my style was always going to match my personality…relaxed and chilled out! I am a ‘story-teller’ and I photograph everything in a documentary and candid approach. I keep things fun, entertaining (especially during the formal groups stage) and I always have a smile on my face.
If I’m smiling away, generally those I am photographing will also naturally smile back!
Is there a second photographer?
I am lucky enough to work with some fantastic photographers from surrounding areas. Most weddings I photograph alone but a second photographer can usually be arranged if needed.
Can you build a wedding package based on my requirements?
I have found that my most popular package is one that covers the entire day although if you have a specific budget for wedding photography then I would be happy to see what I can create based on your budget.
Can you hold a date and how do we book you?
As we can get booked up quickly we do require a deposit of £200 to save the date. We work on a first come first serve basis for those interested but need a little time to have a think and be sure they are investing in the right person…which I promise, you are!
Will you require feeding during a wedding day?
As my wife will tell you I make a damn good sandwich so there is absolutely no need to feed me during the day. However, the gesture is always appreciated, especially if there’s pudding!
Do you photograph weddings abroad?
Yes! Did I mention I love to travel!!?? We have a a separate way of building a package for destination weddings so if you’re heading out somewhere sunny and you want the guarantee of an English speaking photographer who’s work you can see beforehand then don’t hesitate to get in touch!
How long does it take for us to receive our wedding photographs?
I aim to get your photographs to you as soon as possible but we also take pride in editing each individual image so this can take a bit of time. The absolute latest you will receive them is 12 weeks after the day.
How many photos will we receive?
Depending on the package you choose you should expect to receive between 250 and 450 minimum photos of your day. Each photo is individually edited and sent to you on a USB stick.
